The Store Manager leads the G-Star store to meet or exceed targets in sales, merchandising, profit, and other key KPIs to drive business growth for G-Star. The role involves creating and maintaining a workplace powered by a dedicated, efficient sales team that delivers an exceptional omnichannel customer experience reflecting G-Star's DNA. They foster a strong sales and service culture to optimize both the brand/shopping experience and store performance.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Store Sales & KPI Management
- Performance Optimization: Drive store performance while managing real-time KPIs.
- Strategic Planning: Develop weekly and monthly action plans, prioritizing key store activities.
- Team Guidance: Provide hands-on guidance and support to the store team to achieve KPIs across talent, operations, product, customer service, and financial metrics.
- Reporting: Supply the District Manager with real-time feedback on business performance, trends, and key drivers.
Team Development
- Performance & DNA: Drive overall store team performance by overseeing recruitment, training, and the development of sales techniques, customer service, teamwork, and G-Star brand DNA.
- Onboarding: Ensure timely hiring and seamless integration of new employees through the G-Star platform.
- Training & Coaching: Identify team training needs and deliver online or in-person sessions (covering sales, service, and product knowledge), providing direct coaching to staff.
- Scheduling: Create and adjust store staffing schedules efficiently.
- Work Culture: Guarantee and foster a safe, inclusive, motivated, and engaged work environment.
Store Operations
- Compliance: Ensure staff adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Store Standards: Maintain complete stock replenishment and ensure the store remains clean, orderly, and presentable at all times.
- Visual Merchandising: Guarantee that VM standards and seasonal marketing campaigns strictly align with G-Star concepts (product presentation, mannequins, window displays, signage, etc.).
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience as a Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager.
- Retail Expertise: Strong knowledge of retail metrics (KPIs), budgeting, forecasting, and developing action plans to boost store performance.
- Product Knowledge: Background in apparel, denim, or fashion.
- Industry Sector: Preferably denim/fashion, luxury goods, beauty, or cosmetics.
- Languages: Strong English communication skills.
